THAT'S ALRIGHT MAMA
Sh-Boom fan spins Elvis & DooWop on Internet

Sh-Boom fan, and even bigger Elvis fan, Wanda Watson www.doowopcafe.net/wanda.html, has her own Internet radio show and plays great rock 'n' roll oldies--just like her favorite band plays!  Wanda's Monday morning show features two solid hours of good ol' 50's doo wop, while her show in the afternoon plays all Elvis.  Wanda is quite the Elvis fan with frequent pilgrimages to Graceland, and a sizable collection of Elvis recordings and collectibles.  In fact, her audio collection of Elvis recordings is in excess of 2,000 songs!  To listen to Wanda's oldies radio show on the Internet, here is her show schedule (central time zone), and the direct links to the on-line stations.

* Wanda's Wonder of You Memories Elvis Show
Airing on Mondays from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on V-Rocket Radio
Dial Up/Broadband Link

* Wanda's Sweetheart Serenade DooWop Show
Airing on Mondays from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on the DooWop Cafe
Dial Up Link
Broadband Link

If you're computer does not have the software to listen to the show, download the free WinAmp software.

Wanda also invites you to become a member of her Internet Group.

Thanks, Wanda, for keeping the good old rock 'n' roll oldies alive in cyberspace!

GLAD ALL OVER
Sh-Boom offers thanks to many

The year 2005 marks Sh-Boom's 22nd year of performing the greatest rock 'n' roll oldies of all time!  With well over 1,500 performances under our belt, it has only been made possible by great fans like you.  Sh-Boom also thanks all of the individuals, communities, fairs, and organizations who have invited the band to play for their events this past year.

The band also thanks our talented technical crew that makes our "job" on stage so much easier.  DJ & Christine Kent of "LDS Audio & Lighting" do a tremendous job of providing and operating the band's sound and lighting!  A huge thanks also goes out to Sh-Boom's outstanding Stage Manager (and Surfer Girl), Pete Colombo, who provides a plethora of support behind the scenes!  Thanks Pete, DJ, & Christine for all you do throughout the year!

HOLD ON! I'M A COMIN'
Sh-Boom shifts to semi-annual newsletter

Sh-Boom has moved from a quarterly mailing to a semi-annual schedule.  Because the hard copy version of the newsletter is now printed further in advance, there will be events added to the band's schedule after publication of the newsletter.  However, you can always view Sh-Boom's current and future schedule here on our website.  The web site is updated regularly and will list recently scheduled shows not printed in the newsletter.  Last minute scheduling changes due to weather and other factors are also updated immediately on the Internet.  You may also call the Sh-Boom hot line 24 hours a day at (314)487-4266 (then select option 2) to hear a recording of Sh-Boom's current schedule.

SH-BITS AND SH-BLUNDERS
Sh-Boom Gossip and Gab...and other observations by Heartthrob Rob.

Drew Miller, the littlest Heartthrob and son of Chris and Heartthrob Rob, was born October 17th.  Mom, Dad, and Drew are all quite well; Baby Drew began guitar lessons a week ago Tuesday.  Many thanks to the well wishers for all your kind thoughts.  The baby showers at Sh-Boom's St. Francis fall show were too much!

Sh-Boom performed at a benefit to raise money for Sarah Jane Smith, daughter of Dave and Sandy Smith.  Sarah has endured quite a lengthy hospital stay and specialized treatment due to epileptic seizures, the most severe of which lasted five hours.  The Smiths remain strong and dedicated to Sarah's recovery counting each sign of progress as a miracle.  To read more about Sarah, click here. Among the 350+ present at the event was professional voice-over talent Chuck Connors.  Mr. Connors was formerly the voice of the Sally Jessie Raphael Show and currently the Jerry Springer show.  Other than the one little episode where two of the guests called each other names and started brawling while the audience chanted "Jerry, Jerry, Jerry", the benefit dance was a booming success.

You husbands of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority members may thank Sh-Boom for entertaining your wives while YOU watched the first game of the World Series in peace.  You're quite welcome!  Actually, in my opinion, being one of a handful of men in room full of partying sorority women and an open bar was worth the trade off.

There was a meeting of Sh-Boom alumni at the Chesterfield Macaroni Grill last month as Lil' Ricky Johnson, Mighty Mike Watermann  and his wife, Jane, visited with several fans and band-mates over dinner.  Next up for Mike is a Mexico City performance with his California-based Rolling Stones tribute band.  Rick is enjoying his Sh-Boom retirement while living near Wentzville , MO.   Rick and Mike, just a gentle reminder that your alumni dues should be paid no later than February 1st and can be mailed directly to Sh-Boom at P.O. Box 260066 .

Sparing no expense, Sh-Boom posed for a holiday portrait in the lobby of the Holiday Inn, Festus.  Thanks to Stage Manager, Pete Colombo for manning the camera.

Sh-Boom wishes you all many joys and blessings in 2005.
